Anti-syb2 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The syb2 antigen is another term for the human protein vesicle associated membrane protein 2, encoded by the VAMP2 gene. The protein is reported to be involved in targeting and/or fusion of transport vesicles to their target membrane (By similarity). Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 116 residues and a mass of 12.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and cell membrane. The syb2 protein is a member of the Synaptobrevin protein family. Other alias names for syb2 include NEDHAHM and synaptobrevin 2. Western Blot is a widely used application for the syb2 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
