Anti-SS2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SS2 is a known alias name of the protein butyrophilin like 2, encoded by the BTNL2 gene in humans. This 455-amino acid residue protein is a reported regulator of T-cell proliferation. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the brain, heart, kidney, liver, pancreas, ovary, leukocyte, small intestine, testis and thymus. Indicated applications for SS2 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
