Anti-RP58 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RP58 is a known alias name of the protein zinc finger and BTB domain containing 18, encoded by the ZBTB18 gene in humans. This 522-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a transcriptional repressor that plays a role in various developmental processes such as myogenesis and brain development. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the hippocampus, cerebral cortex, and cerebellum.
