Anti-Staf antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Staf is a known alias name of the protein zinc finger protein 143, encoded by the ZNF143 gene in humans. This 638-amino acid residue protein is known to be a type of transcriptional activator. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in all tissues tested, with the strongest expression in ovary. Other synonyms for Staf include SBF and pHZ-1.
