Anti-RP8 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RP8 is a known alias name of the protein programmed cell death 2, encoded by the PDCD2 gene in humans. This 344-amino acid residue protein is believed to be a DNA-binding protein with a regulatory function. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types.
