Anti-Rsc8 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Rsc8 is a known alias name of the protein SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily c member 2, encoded by the SMARCC2 gene in humans. This 1214-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types.
