Anti-PTHIO antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PTHIO antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ACAA1 gene, which encodes acetyl-CoA acyltransferase 1. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of PTHIO has a canonical amino acid length of 424 residues and a protein mass of 44.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the peroxisomes of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus and cerebellum. Other names for this target antigen include ACAA and Lnc-Myd88. Indicated applications for PTHIO antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
