Anti-Lex antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Lex antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FUT4 gene, which encodes fucosyltransferase 4. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and inflammatory response pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of Lex has a canonical amino acid length of 530 residues and a protein mass of 59.1 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells and notably expressed in the rectum, cerebellum, and bone marrow. Other names for this target antigen include CD15, CD15, and ELFT. These Lex antibodies are widely used in ELISA experiments, among other applications.
