Anti-PolgA antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PolgA antigen is another term for the human protein DNA polymerase gamma, catalytic subunit, encoded by the POLG gene. The protein is reported to be involved in replication of mitochondrial DNA. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1239 residues and a mass of 139.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The PolgA protein is a member of the DNA polymerase type-A protein family. Other alias names for PolgA include MDP1, MIRAS, and MTDPS4A. Indicated applications for PolgA antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
