Anti-RCS antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the RCS antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ARPP21 gene, which encodes cAMP regulated phosphoprotein 21. The human version of RCS has a canonical amino acid length of 812 residues and a protein mass of 89.2 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the cerebral cortex, caudate, and appendix. Other names for this target antigen include R3HDM3 and TARPP. Indicated applications for RCS antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
