Anti-PUF antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PUF antigen is another term for the human protein NME/NM23 nucleoside diphosphate kinase 2, encoded by the NME2 gene. The protein is known to play a major role in the synthesis of nucleoside triphosphates other than ATP. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 152 residues and a mass of 17.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The PUF protein is a member of the NDK protein family. Other alias names for PUF include NDKB, NDKB, and NDPK-B.
