Anti-PTPRP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PTPRP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PTPRN2 gene, which encodes protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type N2. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of PTPRP has a canonical amino acid length of 1015 residues and a protein mass of 111.3 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the adrenal gland and colon. Other names for this target antigen include IA-2beta, IAR, and ICAAR. Indicated applications for PTPRP antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
