Anti-PEO antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PEO antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the POLG gene, which encodes DNA polymerase gamma, catalytic subunit. This protein is known to function in DNA replication, among other biological roles. The human version of PEO has a canonical amino acid length of 1239 residues and a protein mass of 139.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. PEO is a member of the DNA polymerase type-A protein family. Indicated applications for PEO antibodies listed below include Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
