Anti-PTP-BL antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PTP-BL is a known alias name of the protein protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 13, encoded by the PTPN13 gene in humans. This 2485-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a tyrosine phosphatase, which regulates negatively FAS-induced apoptosis and NGFR-mediated pro-apoptotic signaling. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in keratinocytes. Other synonyms for PTP-BL include FAP-1, PNP1, and PTP-BAS. Indicated applications for PTP-BL antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
