Anti-MAM2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MAM2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CRTC1 gene, which encodes CREB regulated transcription coactivator 1. This protein is known to function in the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of MAM2 has a canonical amino acid length of 634 residues and a protein mass of 67.3 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. MAM2 is a member of the TORC protein family.
