Anti-NBA1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NBA1 is a known alias name of the protein BRISC and BRCA1 A complex member 1, encoded by the BABAM1 gene in humans. This 329-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the BRCA1-A complex, a complex that specifically recognizes 'Lys-63'-linked ubiquitinated histones H2A and H2AX at DNA lesions sites, leading to target the BRCA1-BARD1 heterodimer to sites of DNA damage at double-strand breaks (DSBs). It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for NBA1 include C19orf62, HSPC142, and MERIT40. Indicated applications for NBA1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
