Anti-PMSB1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PMSB1 is a known alias name of the protein proteasome 20S subunit beta 1, encoded by the PSMB1 gene in humans. This 241-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a non-catalytic component of the 20S core proteasome complex involved in the proteolytic degradation of most intracellular proteins. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PMSB1 include HC5 and NEDMHAL. Western Blot is the most common application for the PMSB1 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
