Anti-PKPS antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PKPS is a known alias name of the protein F-box protein 7, encoded by the FBXO7 gene in humans. This 522-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a substrate recognition component of a SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins and plays a role in several biological processes such as cell cycle, cell proliferation, or maintenance of chromosome stability. It is localized to the nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of the cell. Other synonyms for PKPS include FBX, FBX, and FBX07. Indicated applications for PKPS antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
