Anti-REH antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target REH is a known alias name of the protein lipase E, hormone sensitive type, encoded by the LIPE gene in humans. This 1076-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the testis. Other synonyms for REH include AOMS4, FPLD6, and HSL. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for REH antibodies.
