Anti-I7 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target I7 is a known alias name of the protein olfactory receptor family 6 subfamily A member 2, encoded by the OR6A2 gene in humans. This 327-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the sensory perception of smell and signal transduction pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications.
