Anti-HLADP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HLADP is a known alias name of the protein major histocompatibility complex, class II, DP beta 1, encoded by the HLA-DPB1 gene in humans. This 258-amino acid residue protein is known to bind peptides derived from antigens that access the endocytic route of antigen presenting cells (APC) and presents them on the cell surface for recognition by the CD4 T-cells. It is localized to the ER, Golgi, lysosomes, and cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for HLADP include DPB1 and HLA-DP1B. Western Blot is a widely used application for the HLADP antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
