Anti-Gsg3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Gsg3 is a known alias name of the protein capping actin protein of muscle Z-line subunit alpha 3, encoded by the CAPZA3 gene in humans. This 299-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cytoskeleton organization, among other biological processes. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be preferentially expressed in the testis and sperm.
