Anti-PANG antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PANG antigen is another term for the human protein contactin 3, encoded by the CNTN3 gene. The protein is known to function in cell adhesion, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1028 residues and a mass of 112.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is expressed in the heart muscle, fallopian tube, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and bronchus. The PANG protein is a member of the Contactin protein family. Other alias names for PANG include BIG-1.
