Anti-Mom2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Mom2 is a known alias name of the protein ATP synthase F1 subunit alpha, encoded by the ATP5F1A gene in humans. This 553-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in pathways of aging and the apoptotic pathway, among other biological processes. It is localized to the mitochondria and cell membrane of the cell and features acetylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for Mom2 include ATP5A, ATP5A1, and ATP5AL2. Western Blot is the most common application for the Mom2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
