Anti-Optx2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Optx2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SIX6 gene, which encodes SIX homeobox 6. This protein is known to function in organ morphogenesis and eye development, among other biological roles. The human version of Optx2 has a canonical amino acid length of 246 residues and a protein mass of 27.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in the pituitary gland and retina. Other names for this target antigen include MCOPCT2 and ODRMD.
