Anti-OBTP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the OBTP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PRICKLE4 gene, which encodes prickle planar cell polarity protein 4. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and cardiac tissue development, among other biological roles. The human version of OBTP has a canonical amino acid length of 344 residues and a protein mass of 37.6 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. OBTP is a member of the Prickle / espinas / testin protein family.
