Anti-p91-PHOX antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The p91-PHOX antigen is another term for the human protein cytochrome b-245 beta chain, encoded by the CYBB gene. The protein is reported to be a critical component of the membrane-bound oxidase of phagocytes that generates superoxide. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 570 residues and a mass of 65.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is notably expressed in neutrophils. Other alias names for p91-PHOX include AMCBX2, CGD, and CGDX. Western Blot is the most common application for the p91-PHOX antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
