Anti-PEREC1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PEREC1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TOMM40 gene, which encodes translocase of outer mitochondrial membrane 40. This protein is known to function in the transport of ions, among other biological roles. The human version of PEREC1 has a canonical amino acid length of 361 residues and a protein mass of 37.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include C19orf1, D19S1177E, and PER-EC1. Indicated applications for PEREC1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
