Anti-PEE5 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PEE5 antigen is another term for the human protein corin, serine peptidase, encoded by the CORIN gene. The protein is known to be a serine-type endopeptidase involved in atrial natriuretic peptide (NPPA) and brain natriuretic peptide (NPPB) processing. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1042 residues and a mass of 116.5 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is reported to be highly expressed in the heart. The PEE5 protein is a member of the Peptidase S1 protein family. Other alias names for PEE5 include ATC2, ATC2, and CRN. Western Blot is the most common application for the PEE5 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
