Anti-OIP98 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the OIP98 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TRAK2 gene, which encodes trafficking kinesin protein 2. This protein is believed to regulate endosome-to-lysosome trafficking of membrane cargo, including EGFR. The human version of OIP98 has a canonical amino acid length of 914 residues and a protein mass of 101.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria and cytoplasm of cells. OIP98 is a member of the Milton protein family.
