Anti-RCS1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RCS1 is a known alias name of the protein PICALM interacting mitotic regulator, encoded by the PIMREG gene in humans. This 248-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the cell cycle, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in thymus. Other synonyms for RCS1 include CATS and FAM64A.
