Anti-PAT4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PAT4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SLC36A4 gene, which encodes solute carrier family 36 member 4. This protein is a reported uniporter that mediates the transport of neutral amino acids like L-tryptophan, proline and alanine. The human version of PAT4 has a canonical amino acid length of 504 residues and a protein mass of 56.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the lysosomes of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. PAT4 is a member of the Amino acid/polyamine transporter 2 protein family.
