Anti-p202 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target p202 is a known alias name of the protein tumor protein p53 binding protein 1, encoded by the TP53BP1 gene in humans. This 1972-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in DNA damage pathways and the regulation of transcription, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features methylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for p202 include 53BP1, 53BP1, and TDRD30.
