Anti-OV-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the OV-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PTP4A2 gene, which encodes protein tyrosine phosphatase 4A2. This protein is known to function in protein dephosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of OV-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 167 residues and a protein mass of 19.1 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells. Other names for this target antigen include HH13, HH7-2, and HU-PP-1. Indicated applications for OV-1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
