Anti-ngd antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ngd antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NGDN gene, which encodes neuroguidin. This protein is known to be a part of the small subunit (SSU) processome, first precursor of the small eukaryotic ribosomal subunit. The human version of ngd has a canonical amino acid length of 315 residues and a protein mass of 35.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and caudate. Other names for this target antigen include C14orf120, CANu1, and LCP5. Indicated applications for ngd antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
