Anti-PDCR antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PDCR is a known alias name of the protein 2,4-dienoyl-CoA reductase 2, encoded by the DECR2 gene in humans. This 292-amino acid residue protein is reported to be an auxiliary enzyme of beta-oxidation. It is localized to the peroxisomes of the cell. Other synonyms for PDCR include SDR17C1 and peroxisomal 2,4-dienoyl-CoA reductase [(3E)-enoyl-CoA-producing].
