Anti-PC42 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PC42 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PCDH1 gene, which encodes protocadherin 1. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion and cell to cell signaling, among other biological roles. The human version of PC42 has a canonical amino acid length of 1060 residues and a protein mass of 114.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the colon and rectum. This target antigen may also be known as PCDH42. Indicated applications for PC42 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
