Anti-NBCn2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NBCn2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SLC4A10 gene, which encodes solute carrier family 4 member 10. This protein is known to function in post-embryonic development, among other biological roles. The human version of NBCn2 has a canonical amino acid length of 1118 residues and a protein mass of 125.9 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebellum and cerebral cortex. NBCn2 is a member of the Anion exchanger (TC 2.A.31) protein family.
