Anti-MMRP19 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MMRP19 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the APIP gene, which encodes APAF1 interacting protein. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway, among other biological roles. The human version of MMRP19 has a canonical amino acid length of 242 residues and a protein mass of 27.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include APIP2, CGI-29, and CGI29.
