Anti-MPD1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MPD1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MYH7 gene, which encodes myosin heavy chain 7. This protein is known to function in muscle contraction, among other biological roles. The human version of MPD1 has a canonical amino acid length of 1935 residues and a protein mass of 223.1 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the heart muscle and skeletal muscle. Other names for this target antigen include CMD1S, CMH1, and CMYP7A. Western Blot is the most common application for the MPD1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
