Anti-Ncs2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Ncs2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CTU2 gene, which encodes cytosolic thiouridylase subunit 2. This protein is known to play an important role in 2-thiolation of mcm(5)S(2)U at tRNA wobble positions of tRNA(Lys), tRNA(Glu) and tRNA(Gln). The human version of Ncs2 has a canonical amino acid length of 515 residues and a protein mass of 56.1 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells. Ncs2 is a member of the CTU2/NCS2 protein family. Indicated applications for Ncs2 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
