Anti-MRPP2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MRPP2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HSD17B10 gene, which encodes hydroxysteroid 17-beta dehydrogenase 10. This protein is known to function in fatty acid metabolism and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of MRPP2 has a canonical amino acid length of 261 residues and a protein mass of 26.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include 17b-HSD10, ABAD, and CAMR. Western Blot is the most common application for the MRPP2 antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
