Anti-MSPS antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MSPS antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CKAP5 gene, which encodes cytoskeleton associated protein 5. This protein is known to function in cell division, among other biological roles. The human version of MSPS has a canonical amino acid length of 2032 residues and a protein mass of 225.5 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. MSPS is a member of the TOG/XMAP215 protein family.
