Anti-MRP-S antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MRP-S is a known alias name of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein S7, encoded by the MRPS7 gene in humans. This 242-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in mitochondrial translation and protein translation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for MRP-S include COXPD34 and RP-S7.
