Anti-MIP26 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MIP26 is a known alias name of the protein major intrinsic protein of lens fiber, encoded by the MIP gene in humans. This 263-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in eye development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features palmitoylated and cleaved post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the cortex and nucleus of the retina lens. Other synonyms for MIP26 include AQP0, AQP0, and CTRCT15. Indicated applications for MIP26 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
