Anti-LGMD1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LGMD1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MYOT gene, which encodes myotilin. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion, among other biological roles. The human version of LGMD1 has a canonical amino acid length of 498 residues and a protein mass of 55.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the skeletal muscle and skin. This target antigen may also be known as LGMD1A. Indicated applications for LGMD1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
