Anti-IMPA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target IMPA is a known alias name of the protein inositol monophosphatase 1, encoded by the IMPA1 gene in humans. This 277-amino acid residue protein is known to be important for the provision of inositol required for synthesis of phosphatidylinositol and polyphosphoinositides and has been implicated as the pharmacological target for lithium action in brain. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for IMPA include IMP and MRT59. Indicated applications for IMPA antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
