Anti-HEP-COP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HEP-COP is a known alias name of the protein COPI coat complex subunit alpha, encoded by the COPA gene in humans. This 1224-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in Golgi transport and intracellular protein transport, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for HEP-COP include AILJK and alpha-COP. Indicated applications for HEP-COP antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
