Anti-HCL3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HCL3 is a known alias name of the protein OCA2 melanosomal transmembrane protein, encoded by the OCA2 gene in humans. This 838-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell proliferation and melanocyte differentiation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in melanocytes and retinal pigment epithelium. Other synonyms for HCL3 include BEY, BEY1, and BEY2. Indicated applications for HCL3 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
