Anti-KARP1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target KARP1 is a known alias name of the protein X-ray repair cross complementing 5, encoded by the XRCC5 gene in humans. This 732-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in brain development and DNA damage pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated, sumoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Western Blot is the most common application for the KARP1 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
